In a world of constant technological change, this issue raises questions about the role of<strong>AI in human resources<\/strong>, and opens the way to thinking about collaboration between<strong>artificial intelligence and human resources professionals<\/strong>. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Artificial intelligence<\/strong>, <strong>AI<\/strong>, AI, ChatGPT&#8230; For several months now, many professionals have been chased by these terms on a daily basis. Reactions to this &#8220;buzz&#8221; are manifold: science fiction fans see it as the advent of a &#8220;Skynet&#8221;, technophiles swear by it, sometimes forgetting to keep their cool, experts aware of CSR are raising their shields, wondering about its usefulness in a world that&#8217;s going badly&#8230; and the vast majority are struck by dread (68% of French people say they have fears about the emergence of <strong>generative AIs<\/strong>, according to IFOP).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>After reading the studies explaining how<strong>artificial<\/strong> intelligence will &#8220;<em> eliminate 300 million jobs<\/em> &#8221; (according to Goldman Sachs in 2023), or the newsletters and LinkedIn posts that tell us every day about the dozens of advances in<strong>AI<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>You may notice that this is reminiscent of another &#8220;buzz&#8221;, that of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sqorus.com\/en\/what-is-the-metaverse\/\">Metavers<\/a><\/strong> in 2021\/2022&#8230; which many experts have since tried to dismiss as over, even though I personally believe that it just paves the way for the maturity of immersive uses, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dell.com\/fr-fr\/blog\/comment-le-metavers-impacte-le-future-of-work\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>particularly in the world of work<\/strong><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.0&#8243; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2>AI and HR: between partnership and resistance to change<\/h2>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.4&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;||5%||false|false&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p><span>But back to<strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong>. Is it new? No. Our VP Maci\u00e0 Roca, for example, was already studying the subject in 2000. Just as<strong>AI<\/strong> is an integral part of many of the digital tools we use on a daily basis, but it does so discreetly. It blends in with existing practices, without needing to be known as such.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>What has changed recently is awareness of its potential power among the general public, mainly via &#8220;<strong>generative artificial intelligence<\/strong>&#8221; (71% of French people have heard of<strong> generative AI<\/strong>, according to<strong>IFOP<\/strong>). As a reminder, these are a type of<strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong> system capable of generating text, images or other media in response to prompts. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>ChatGPT, Midjourney, Dall-E&#8230; their use seems child&#8217;s play and their results incredible. In my case, for example, I have no particular artistic talent. Midjourney gives me the illusion of having the ability to create, to express my vision, without mastering the tools of visual creation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>As far as ChatGPT is concerned, here too we&#8217;re mostly living under an illusion: what the tool offers is &#8220;convincing&#8221;, but it&#8217;s far from perfect, especially when used by professionals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>&#8220;<em>  Generative AIs generate up to 30% errors in their answers. There is an urgent need to set up training programs for the general public and support programs for businesses.  <\/em>&#8220;Laurent Cervoni, Doctor of Applied Sciences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><strong> Artificial intelligence<\/strong> isn&#8217;t perfect, but the subject is advancing fast, and HR managers are asking many questions. During a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sqorus.com\/en\/hr-webinar-secrets-to-managing-current-and-future-skills\/\">webinar organized by SQORUS on Strategic Workforce Planning<\/a><\/strong>for example, we were asked the following question:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span>&#8220;Do Talent Marketplace solution vendors have strong enough AIs in terms of skills repositories to save themselves the trouble of setting them up manually?&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li>&#8220;How can artificial intelligence help identify and select candidates with the right skills for specific positions?&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span>The answers to these questions are manifold:<strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong> has become a &#8220;sales&#8221; term, and not all the tools on the market are at the same level on the subject.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>What&#8217;s certain is that this technology isn&#8217;t magic (yet): it requires lots of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sqorus.com\/en\/data-artificial-intelligence-hr-strategy\/\" title=\"Data &amp; AI HR: a strategy as a starting point\">quality data, a clear strategy<\/a> and human intelligence to define the right questions to ask. Make him your partner. It must become an extension of your skills, just as your computer is in your daily life.
