We would like to answer these 3 main questions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>What is the typical profile of departing employees?<\/li>\n<li>What factors influence their departure?<\/li>\n<li>When\/ How often do employees leave?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In this section, we&#8217;ll concentrate on the analysis of our PowerBI data. To do this, we need to start by creating our measures, which will enable us to calculate turnover.<\/p>\n<h3>Measuring turnover<\/h3>\n<p>We have decided to calculate our Turnover rate as follows:<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/www.sqorus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/08\/mesure-turnover.png&#8221; title_text=&#8221;measure turnover&#8221; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.0&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; custom_padding=&#8221;||5%||false|false&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.0&#8243; inline_fonts=&#8221;Roboto&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Here, we have decided to smooth the results over the last 12 months to facilitate final interpretation, and not to take into account 2x month-on-month variations in headcount.<br \/>There are 2 main measures to create:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Average number of employees over the last 12 months.<\/li>\n<li>Staff turnover over the past 12 months<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Using the same principle, you can choose to calculate the rate of voluntary or involuntary turnover, provided you have identified the cause of the departures.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.0&#8243; custom_padding=&#8221;||||false|false&#8221; inline_fonts=&#8221;Roboto&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3>The PowerBI dashboard for visualizing and analyzing turnover data<\/h3>\n<p>For <strong>HR managers and HR professionals<\/strong>, understanding turnover within the company is essential.<br \/>\nAn effective dashboard provides an overview that reveals the <strong>annual turnover rate<\/strong> and highlights any seasonal variations. <\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s take a look at the breakdown of turnovers by year and the total. Here, it&#8217;s interesting to see that the order of most given reasons is the same between men and women, but the proportions are different.
