The must-attend APEX event

On September 24, 2025, SQORUS took part as an Oracle partner inAPEX Day, alongside numerous customers and experts who came to share their feedback and discover the latest developments on the platform.

The day was an opportunity to demonstrate our commitment to promotingAPEX as a tailor-made digital transformation lever for businesses.

A day marked by innovation

The event showcased the full potential of Oracle APEX, the low-code enterprise solution that accelerates application development:

  • The latest APEX developments in AI and generative development (GenDev), with innovative features such as Natural Language Reporting and AI Function Calling.
  • Concrete use cases presented by SQORUS and our customers SNCF and ONET AIRPORT SERVICES, demonstrating how APEX meets their business challenges.
  • Networking moments rich in innovation exchanges.

Inspiring customer feedback: SNCF and ONET

One of the highlights of the day was the feedback session led by Aurélien DINH, Senior Manager Digital at SQORUS, highlighting two emblematic projects carried out with APEX.

From Excel to Oracle APEX: ERP modernization at SNCF

SNCF was faced with a major challenge: managing a large number of technical, application and evolutionary operations linked to its ERP systems. Monitoring, initially carried out via a complex Excel file, lacked fluidity and led to excessive e-mail communication. Faced with the opening up to competition and the arrival of a new ERP, it became necessary to modernize this tool.

The company therefore chose Oracle APEX to address this challenge.

SQORUS helped SNCF transform this process using Oracle APEX to :

  • Transform this file into a simple, collaborative application
  • Centralize real-time operations management
  • Structure plans into tasks, groups and batches with defined dependencies
  • Automate notifications and recalculate schedules
  • Reduce e-mail exchanges
  • Make management more reliable and scalable.

Results

The SNCF has gained in reliability and efficiency thanks to a solution that simplifies the day-to-day work of its teams and improves operational performance, deployed by the IT team at SQORUS, as Patrice FRANCOIS, Head of the IT Purchasing & Expertise division at the SNCF, explains: “The SNCF is a major player in the field of information systems, and we’re delighted to have been able to implement this solution. APEX seemed interesting to us because it allowed us to import our raw material, which was the Excel file. From this, we were able to create an application. Of course, we needed help, because we’re not experts in this technology, even though it’s very simple. We worked with SQORUS to improve the solution as we went along. This has considerably reduced the number of e-mails we send out, and now everyone has a real-time view on their screen of what’s going on operationally in the field.

“We worked with SQORUS to improve the solution as we went along. […] It has considerably reduced the number of emails sent, which is important for our CSR policy on the SNCF side […]”.

ONET: optimizing airport baggage logistics

At ONET Airport Services, we focus on baggage logistics for airlines such as Air France at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, and low-cost carriers like Volotea and Ryanair. Nearly 50% of transit passengers change flights, and each piece of luggage not delivered on time can be costly.

The main problem was the lack of indicators enabling agents to prioritize baggage containers. Luggage was processed “as it went along”, resulting in a high risk of delays, and therefore a lack of operational performance. Adrien LAPLANCHE, Methods Engineer at ONET, explains: “There are no precise indicators to help agents prioritize: containers are emptied one after the other, without distinction, which can lead to urgent baggage destined for planes close to departure being processed late.”

With SQORUS, ONET Airport Services has set up an Oracle APEX application that provides a global vision in real time. “That’s the challenge we faced with SQORUS and the APEX solution: to give agents vision and meaning, so that they can make the best decisions and perform better. As I was saying, there were no objective indicators and we weren’t anticipating (…) It’s precisely to meet all these challenges that we needed an appropriate IT tool”.

Dispatchers can now consult the list of flights arriving at Roissy-Charles de Gaulle, sorted by order of arrival, and immediately identify critical baggage according to available connecting time. They can visualize the aircraft’s hold, and know how many bags are in each container, so they can prioritize those to be handled first, and trigger repatriation missions.

Agents receive a mobile notification with all instructions (hold, container, baggage to be handled) and validate each step as they go along. Team leaders, for their part, have a dashboard to dispatch agents and anticipate peaks in activity.

“That’s what SQORUS and the APEX solution are all about: giving agents vision and meaning, so that they can make the best decisions and perform better (…)”.

A single objective: simplify and improve performance

These two use cases have one thing in common, and illustrate the added value of Oracle APEX: improving operational performance through real-time management, with the ultimate aim of simplifying workflows and the use of tools.

As ONET’s Method Engineer Adrien LAPLANCHE points out, “We’ve made sure to offer something simpler and more practical.”

Patrice FRANCOIS, Head of IT Architecture & Expertise at SNCF, also confirms: “The advantage of APEX is that we can rapidly deploy solutions, without developing heavy code, with only a small technical part to understand.”
