Aya EL ABDIOUI joined SQORUS for an end-of-studies internship in the EPM division as an EPM consultant. This field, at the intersection of finance, technology, and data, had appealed to her long before she took her first steps in the industry.
She shares with us what her internship taught her about the profession and her professional growth.
From my very first weeks on the job, I worked on high-stakes projects with demanding and inspiring clients. I contributed to consolidation and OneStream workshops, used tools such as Oracle HFM and OneStream, and helped draft proposals and presentation materials.
In consolidation, you quickly realize that data reliability and traceability aren’t just important—they’re essential. It’s a reality you only truly learn through hands-on experience.
I also completed a training program focused on business analysis, which enabled me to define project scopes, reformulate requirements, and formalize clear deliverables.
The “Consultant Mindset” training course also helped me better understand the unwritten rules of consulting, how to interact with clients, and best practices in the field.
The diversity of clients and industries makes the experience very rewarding and helps develop a genuine ability to adapt.
