From her successful integration thanks to federative events, through regular and stimulating managerial support, to her skills development on large-scale projects, Maria tells us about her career at SQORUS.
Now on a permanent contract with SQORUS, Maria continues to grow and evolve within a dynamic and supportive IT community, where sharing and mutual support are the watchwords.

1. What made you decide to join SQORUS for your internship?
I was immediately attracted to SQORUS by its values of commitment, diversity and solidarity. It’s an environment where everyone is valued and where the atmosphere is healthy, which you can feel on a daily basis.
The Great Place to Work label is well deserved: it’s a framework in which you can grow and progress.
2. How have the events and initiatives offered to trainees helped you integrate into SQORUS?
Internal events at SQORUS, such as feedback sessions (REX) and various workshops organized to raise team awareness of specific topics, were particularly memorable moments. These initiatives enable us to exchange knowledge, broaden our horizons and gain a better understanding of a wide range of topics.
In addition, the cultural outings and evenings specially organized for trainees really helped me to integrate. This creates a strong bond with the teams, and you quickly feel at ease in the company. These moments outside work facilitate exchanges and reinforce team spirit.
3. What did you like most about the management and support you received during your internship?
Management at SQORUS is very human. For example, during my internship, I had regular meetings with my manager where we discussed not only the progress of my projects, but also my aspirations and any difficulties I might have encountered.
These moments were an opportunity to work together to find concrete solutions and implement actions to help me progress. The follow-up points really show that we’re interested in our progress, and the managers’ availability creates a real feeling of support.
4. How did SQORUS’s values align with your expectations for your internship?
SQORUS promotes respect, mutual aid and diversity, values that are close to my heart. Working in an environment that values its employees so highly is truly motivating and aligned with my expectations.
5. What was the most stimulating project you worked on during your internship at SQORUS?
I worked on two very different projects: one to centralize HR tools and the other for the strategic management of airport stopovers. These varied projects enabled me to explore several sectors and adapt to very different needs for each one, which was extremely enriching.
6. How did your internship at SQORUS help you develop your skills and gain autonomy on large-scale projects?
During my internship, I learned a lot in terms of algorithmic thinking and development optimization. But what really helped me gain autonomy and confidence was a project where I worked on the design of a SaaS tool.
I was involved in all the key stages: analyzing user needs, designing the database architecture and implementing the first technical building blocks of the solution.
This end-to-end management enabled me not only to develop my technical skills, but also to make decisions, which strengthened my ability to run projects independently.

7. How was your internship at SQORUS a springboard for your career and your employment at SQORUS?
My internship paved the way for me to be hired. By working on real projects and demonstrating my skills, I was able to prove my worth and go from intern to full member of the team.
8. How have you continued to evolve and develop your skills since joining the company?
Since I’ve been with the company, I’ve had access to training and ambitious projects that have enabled me to develop continuously.
I’ve had the opportunity to work on demanding & aspirational projects in the aeronautical sector. I took part in the development of a strategic solution aimed at optimizing operations, by meeting complex performance and reliability challenges.
This experience enabled me to strengthen my technical skills while working on concrete issues critical to the sector.
9. How is the SQORUS IT community an asset for a trainee wishing to develop in this field?
The SQORUS IT community is really rich and dynamic. We often collaborate on cross-functional projects, exchange best practices, and organize brainstorming sessions to solve technical problems together.
This constant sharing of ideas and experience enables trainees to make rapid progress while feeling supported.
10. If you had to sum up your internship experience at SQORUS in one word, what would it be?
